Ephesians 4:16–“From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

This ministry coordinates ideas and activities to bring the community into a closer relationship with Christ. There are several activities within the church to strengthen the bond of our parishioners with Christ and each other.

FINANCIAL CLASS – Holy Cross has trained leaders available for the Crown Ministries and Dave Ramsey financial classes. Each of these programs operates under biblical principles to assist those in becoming debt-free in order to live free and serve God. Using common sense education and hands on material, and small group discussion to teach people God’s financial principles.

INQUIRER’S CLASS – Deacon Betty For adults and older teens seeking to learn more about their faith as
experience and lived out in the Episcopal Church. This is for current members-Reaffimation, those needing baptisim-Confirmation, those wishing to be received into the Episcopal Church-Reception

CHILDREN’ CHURCH – Scott Kirkland & Sally Covey The beginning of each service is a brief mini sermon for the children with Fr. Richard. Afterward they are dismissed and lead to the Children’s church in the education building. They are provided age appropriate biblical education. The children return just before communion.

CURSILLO – Michelle Cobb Holy Cross has an active Cursillo community dedicated to learning and living what is fundamental as a Christian and that we are called to be Christian Leaders. Stemming from our ‘rule of life’ there are several groups meeting weekly. This is available for men and women with the option of attending in the spring or fall.

KAIROS – James Cobb Holy Cross has volunteers who are active in the Kairos program at Polk Correctional Institution. Kairos is a prison ministry. The format is much like Cursillo. It is a 3 day weekend of bringing Christ and His love behind prison bars. This is for Men and Women with 2 events per year. DAUGHTERS OF THE KING – Illisa Gaellen This Ministry is for Women to dedicate their lives to prayer, service and evangelism. This group meets monthly with a devotion, prayer and study time. This group is active at the diocesan and national levels.

SMALL GROUP – There is a “small” group study on Thursday at the home of James and Michelle Cobb. If interested call 863-324-1006 for details and information on current study.

AWANA – Scott Kirkland “Approved workmen are not ashamed”2 Timothy 2:15. Caring adults lead this children’s club in learning scripture, teamwork and games. Men and Women are needed. This program runs for the school year. They meet weekly on Thursdays from 6:-7:30 pm from September to May.

LIBRARY – Marilu McGoldrick The library has a wide range of material. Books, cassette tapes, VCR tapes are available to be checked out. There is computer use available on site.

MEN and WOMEN DINNERS –¬†Each meets the second Tuesday of the month. The men meet at the church and cook their own meal. The women meet in local restaurants. There is plenty of fellowship and discussion.
