For 27 years, Holy Cross Church has been the home of Boy Scout Troop 515 and for 16 years for Cub Scout Pack 515.
It is estimated that during that period of time over, over 2,000 families in the Garden Grove area have benefited from these character building, citizenship training programs.

This page - today - spot lights the Scout Troop.
One of the most notable accomplishments of Holy Cross Troop 515 is that during the past twelve months, there have been 8 Scouts who were awarded the coveted Eagle Scout award. (See a group picture of our Eagles at the bottom of this page.)
It is said that one 1 boy out of every 500 becomes an Eagle Scout. For our Troop of 50 Scouts to have eight Eagles shows a high degree of dedication and skill on the part of the leaders and unusual support on the part of the parents.
Leadership, qualified, trained and inspired is the key to the success of our Troop.

Such a great group of boys and parents in our Troop!!!
It is such a pleasure to be associated with them. It is also heart warming to see young America in action.

History of Holy Cross Troop 515
Boy Scouts
Scouting is more than tying knots, cooking, camping, and helping old ladies across streets. It is true that the arena where Scouting operates is the out of doors, the objective of Scouting is to teach chararacter building, train boys in citizenship responsibilities, and help them find their personal relationship with God.
The out of doors is not only the arena but the crucible in which boys become responsible young men.
Below is a picture of our Troop atop the highest mountain at the exciting Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. God's handiwork is everywhere at Philmont, quite noticeable in the background of this picture.
