PROVERBS 22:6- “Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it.”
Holy Cross considers ministry to children and families and integral part of our ministry. We think it is a sacred responsibility to assist parents in helping their children know God and grow-up to be strong and positive adults. The following lists different ways your children can participate and grow through the children’s ministry at Holy Cross Church.
SUNDAY CHILDREN CHAPEL – SCOTT KIRKLAND & SALLY COVEY: During each service there is Children’s Chapel. They gather with the Rector for a time; “For Children, Mainly” where they discuss the theme of the day and end in prayer. Then they go to Children’s Chapel where they have a lesson with raft time. The children rejoin the service just prior to Communion.
ACOLYTES – HOWARD AND KAT MACCALLA: The youth are an important part of our worship service. They participate and help lead the congregation through the role of acolyte. They carry torches and crosses to begin and end the services and also during the Gospel reading. This participation will encourage responsibility and service. Being an Acolyte helps them grow in their understanding of worship and the role of a lay person.
